Jessica Spanton

Jessica Spanton is an accomplished Director of Innovation with a robust background in the food industry. She brings a wealth of experience in research and development, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. Her career has been marked by significant achievements, particularly during her tenure as Director of R&D and QRC at Amplify Snack Brands. In this role, Jessica built and led the R&D team, spearheaded the creation and launch of innovative products that drove company growth across four brands, and successfully integrated R&D, Quality, and Regulatory teams following the acquisition by Hershey’s.

Prior to her role at Amplify Snack Brands, Jessica worked as a Food Scientist at Kellogg, where she specialized in extrusion technology. She contributed to the development of kids' cereals and the Kashi business units, leveraging her expertise to enhance product quality and innovation.

Jessica holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Systems Engineering from Texas A&M University and an Executive MBA from the University of Texas. Her educational background has provided her with a strong foundation in both technical and business aspects of the industry.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Jessica enjoys playing tennis and camping. She is also dedicated to giving back to her community through volunteer work with her church and school PTA. Jessica's blend of professional expertise and personal interests make her a dynamic and well-rounded leader in the field of food innovation.
