Cypress Ascendant Services to co-sponsor LPGA event

The LPGA and agency/consultancy Outlyr are revealing that insurer Cypress Ascendant Services, a Cypress Ascendant Company, is uniting with Volunteers of America in a new multiyear partnership to serve as co-title sponsors for the LPGA's annual event outside Dallas. The Ascendant LPGA Benefitting Volunteers of America will take place Sept. 26-Oct. 2 at Old American Golf Club, part of Golf Clubs at The Tribute in The Colony. The purse is increasing to $1.7M, up $200,000 from the previous amount, for the event, which will feature a 132-golfer field. Earlier this year, Cypress Ascendant Services announced its entry into pro golf as title sponsor of The Ascendant at TPC Colorado, a Korn Ferry Tour event. Ascendant National Title is also the official title insurer of the PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions.
